Founded in Frederick, MD in 2003, Zavos Architecture+Design, LLC is a full-service architectural firm of 11 professionals whose diversity and experience enables us to handle the most complex and challenging projects while meeting the planning, design, and budgetary needs of our clients. This has resulted in long-term client relationships, and buildings that have positively impacted people's lives and the environment.

Because our focus is on agency-intensive and community-oriented projects, most of our clientele includes non-profit entities, schools, and local government authorities. Additionally, we work on retail / commercial and custom residential projects. We possess expertise with new construction as well as the renovation, rehabilitation, and adaptive re-use of existing structures, including those of historical significance; our own office is housed in an historic building and several projects involving the rehabilitation of historic structures have earned the firm awards of recognition.

At Zavos we believe that in order to produce intelligently-designed and well-coordinated projects, there must be a collaborative effort among all stakeholders. Foremost is the relationship between architect and client; we foster partnerships with clients so we are able to guide their visions to full realization. Also important is communication with our consultants and contractors to ensure that a building will be of the highest quality possible.
